Elleshire is the capital city of Tybalta—a perpetually rain-soaked kingdom inspired by the rugged landscapes of the Scottish Highlands. Its winding streets and mist-shrouded alleys hold secrets that even the Kingsguard can’t root out, making it the perfect hunting ground for men like Baldwin—a displaced northman turned bounty hunter. Half of Song of the Broken: The Sundering unfolds in Elleshire, following Baldwin’s journey through its storm-lashed rooftops and damp stone corridors as he seeks answers—and perhaps redemption—in the shadows of Tybalta’s proudest city.

Elleshire is built on the shores and inlets of the massive Eye of God, a dark and endless lake nestled in an unnatural valley. Towering cliffs and sheer headlands—like the sea stacks of Scotland—loom above the water’s edge, their stone faces shrouded in mist. To the north, a treacherous ravine known as Stormgate channels the unrelenting Highland rains into the Eye of God, transforming it into a deadly floodway after every storm. From the east, a winding river carves its way through the steep canyon walls before spilling into the Dorlach Channel, further fortifying the city’s defenses. Only the southern gate offers passage to the heart of Elleshire—making the city all but impenetrable to invaders, and a fortress for those who call it home.
